How do I sign up to the online service?

With IPS it's easy to see where your money is and how it is doing. Our safe and secure online account can give you that peace of mind and you can register in a few simple steps:

  • Select ‘Your account’ from the top right corner of this website;
  • Click the ‘REGISTER’ button present on the secure website login screen;
  • Complete the registration details and agree to the terms and conditions.

Once you're registered you'll be able to:

  • Access a free online account providing you with up-to-date portfolio valuations.
  • Manage your Portfolio Investments online, including buying, selling, switching and topping up.
  • Manage any regular monthly payments.
  • Access your transaction history at any time.
  • Download electronic versions of the important correspondence we have sent you in the post.

Once we’ve verified your details, we’ll send you a confirmation email and, for security reasons, we’ll send your log in details to your home address usually within five working days.

How long does it take to receive my temporary password?

Shortly after you’ve submitted your details, you’ll receive a confirmation email from us. For security reasons, we’ll send you a letter with your temporary password, usually within five working days. If you don’t receive a confirmation email or letter please try signing up to the service again. If you continue to experience problems, please contact us.

How do I log in?

To log in to the online service select ‘Your account’ at the top of this page and enter your client reference number, date of birth and password in the log in screen.

Once logged in, you can view your portfolio and benefit from a selection of online services.

Where can I find my Investor Portfolio Service client reference number?

You can find your client reference on your last statement or account documentation. Alternatively, you can contact us.

Who do I contact if I can't log in or I've forgotten my password?

If you forget your password, you can request a new one using the 'forgotten password' link on the log in page. Please remember that when you receive a new password email, it will only be valid for two hours.
