If you appreciate the consolidated view of your investments that Investor Portfolio Service offers, then you may be interested in transferring stocks and shares ISAs or Investment Funds that you have with other providers to us.
This type of transfer is known as ‘re-registration’. Because we will be responsible for taking over the administration of your chosen funds.
The investment performance of your fund continues to be managed by the fund manager you’re currently invested with, and your money stays invested the whole time the transfer takes place - it’s just the administration of the fund that is transferred.*
Because Legal & General will be responsible for the administration of all your chosen funds, we’re able to give you a consolidated statement that shows you all of your investment holdings in one place. So instead of receiving lots of different statements from different providers, you receive just one.
* Please note we cannot advise you on the suitability of all the funds you may be invested in, and can only advise you on the range of funds held on our panel of investment funds. Not all investments can be transferred in this way. In these cases a different transfer process is available which includes selling your current holding and using these proceeds to invest with us.
When you transfer the administration of your funds to Legal & General, (also known as ‘re-registration’) it’s important to remember that your investment still remains invested with the original fund manager. You no longer deal with the adviser or provider with whom you first invested, unless your adviser was a Legal & General adviser and is the same person who is arranging the transfer.
Complete the Re-registration application form and send it back to us.
