What Is It?

  • The Portfolio Plus Self Invested Personal Pension (SIPP) is a pension that offers you access to a wide range of investment options, and greater flexibility in how you can take income from your pension. It offers:
    • Over 50 pension funds your adviser will help you choose from across most sectors and asset classes.
    • Once the plan has started you will have access to an even wider choice of over 300 funds from over 40 fund managers. Please note, we can't offer advice on investing in this larger range of funds.
    • The self investment option allows you to invest in different types of assets, such as shares, gilts, and commercial property (subject to certain criteria being met). Please note, we can't offer advice on the self investment option.

Consider If...

  • To start a plan you can invest a minimum single contribution or transfer payment of £25,000 (gross), or invest minimum regular contributions of £200 (gross) a month.
  • You'd like a personal pension with a wide range of funds to choose from.
  • You'd like the ability to invest your pension fund directly in other assets such as shares, gilts and commercial property. Please note, we cannot advise you on these investments.
  • You'd like the ability to take an income directly from all or part of your pension fund.

The value of your investments can go down as well as up, so the value of your pension fund is not guaranteed. It is particularly important to remember this if you are close to taking your benefits, or if you have designated part or all of your pension fund for income drawdown. Your money is tied up until you take your benefits.
